Alongside the Boy Scouts of America, several All-Star Brass Band members and staff have supported the 2013-2019 God and Country Concert’s by providing usher service for the concert and set-up and clean-up services for the pre-concert musician’s dinner.
The God and Country Concert honors God and patriotism through a joint concert held annually with the Brass Band of Columbus and a visiting Salvation Army Band. The 2013 concert was held April 6 at Dublin Jerome High School (Dublin, OH) and the Canadian Staff Band of the Salvation Army under the direction of John Lam, Bandmaster were the guest band. All-Star musicians had not only the opportunity to experience the behind-the-scenes rehearsals, but also meet musicians from both bands in addition to enjoying a spectacular concert.
Students had an opportunity to participate in a music clinic earlier in the afternoon and attend the joint rehearsals and pre-concert dinner.
